If you're a fan of hard beats and aggressive sounds, rawstyle is the genre for you. It's a subgenre of hardstyle, known for its raw, powerful sound. Perfect for bringing energy to any Harder Styles party.
Rawstyle emerged in the Netherlands – the birthplace of hardstyle – in the early 2010s. It quickly gained popularity in the hardstyle scene and now features at almost every Harder Styles festival. Rawstyle is defined by hard beats, a distorted kick and screechier synth sounds. Distorted vocals are often used to make tracks feel darker and more aggressive. The tempo of rawstyle tracks usually sits between 150 and 160 BPM, which is why it's also described as harder hardstyle.
Rawstyle keeps evolving, and new sounds keep appearing. The scene grows steadily, with labels like Aggressive Records, Gearbox Digital and Savage Squad Recordings focusing mainly on rawstyle.
Some of the best-known festivals are Supremacy, Shockerz Festival and Reverze. Some sell out within minutes and have an enormous fanbase. Hearing these tracks live on a festival rig is a completely different feeling and absolutely worth it – and fans want to see idols like D-Sturb, Radical Redemption, Rooler, Aversion and Mutilator perform live. You'll find the current dates in our festival calendar.
If you're into electronic music with real power behind it, rawstyle is a genre you should listen to.
